We have initiated several projects since inception. Following are some our major projects:

Abhiruchi
Children have their own identity and they should have one of their own. Abhiruchi is a mobile project that is always conducted with available resources.. A workshop is conducted in deprived sections and societies around us. The workshops are held wherever necessary and enough space is available. The workshops impart general education, hygienic advice, story telling, children camps, and recreational activities for children, theatre/plays, drawing, writing and general subjects teaching. The intention is personality development of the children. To create a overall understanding of education and importance of literacy in our daily lives. Children have every right to enjoy their childhood.

Abhiruchi classes are conducted since 1982, and today the total students who are taught in Pune city and villages in western Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Marathwada. are around 15,000.

Parijat – Care and Support to HIV/AIDS affected and infected Children
If the mother carrying a child has AIDS, then it is quite likely that the child will be born with the same disease. Even if the child is not having AIDS, but due to the parents who carry the virus, the society looks down on the family. This affects the child adversely even if he or she has nothing to do with it. Hence, since 2004, we have initiated an experimental project that helps children in such families to up bring themselves as a better citizen. We have initiated this experiments in 4 different communities(Shivajinagar,Janawadi, Kelewadi & Diasplot) in Pune city. We implement this project with Avert Society, uptil now we are able to target 52 HIV Infected children and 1024 HIV affected children from the above 4 hamlets Mumbai.

Child Labor
Child labor is growing at alarming rates. Poverty, unemployment, parental irresponsibility and their negligence are the main reasons behind this issue. In reality, every child needs to learn - which is their right. In very young age these children work in tea stalls (hotels), liquor manufacturing shops, highway motels, local cigarette / bidi industries, boot polish, other shops hawkers, brick manufacturing, household chores, etc. Due to this they fall prey to lack of sleep, improper behavior, and bad habits. Since 2001 our organization is working in this field. Our members and workers met these child laborers personally and discuss their problems. Boys and girls were convinced and sent back to school. In year 2002-2003 around 300 children were accounted as part of this operation. A scientific survey of 300 children was done. Final report of the survey will be published shortly. Due to Lack of Financial resources we are unable to work full fledge on this project. We are looking for financial assistance.
  Chandikadevi Adivasi Girls Hostel,Patanbori
None of the adivasi (tribal) girls studies beyond IV class in the school. The major reason is lack of schooling facilities in their vicinity. Moreover, due to the issues associated with welfare of their girl child the parents do not send them to schools located far off from their house. Due to no schooling, these girls get married as a child. Hence, from 1996 in Yavatmal district (Tehsil Kelapoor) in Patanbori we started Girl's Home. It offers schooling till XII class (Higher Secondary School Education). Since its inception, around 50 girls stay in the facility undergoing classes from V to XII classes. Facilities like library, meals, physical education, games and residence is provided free. This has helped educating tribal girls and prolonging their marriage. Even parents are happy to have a literate daughter. This year 3 girls in SSC & 1 girl in HSC got first class.

Science Education Project
Only after learning science and scientific methods does one gets interested in science and research. Due to lack of facilities to spread the scientific knowledge, handbook for the children and teachers are in process. The organization has initiated a science education project from April 1999 to November 2000. Due to success in this project since December 2000, the organization has worked specially on science syllabus and started classes on science. Currently we undertake such classes in three deprived communities & Neehar around 150 children participate in the events. It is a unique experiment of inculcating / development of scientific attitude in children.Due to Lack of Financial resources we are unable to work full fledge on this project.

Sabla Mahila Kendra (Pune)
Many women today face spousal and family abuse. If these women and their families were to receive education and advise then such happenings could be controlled and guided. To make the lives of women easier and to fight for their rights our organization is actively conducting guidance sessions since 1985. Till present, many such women have been given justice on par with their rights. We work on around 50 new cases every year. Several training sessions are arranged between schools and various communities for the purpose.

Sabla Mahila Kendra (Latur)
Many women are deprived of basic rights and abused. Most of them are homeless and rendered helpless due to social injustice. Hence in August 1994 our organization has initiated a project for re-establishing such women. In this center we train women for self-sufficiency, they are trained in literacy, goat rearing sewing, handicrafts and personality development areas. During the course of 6 months of their stay the organization provides them with food, clothing and other expenses. We allow them to stay with their kids( Up to 6 Years) after 6 months of training sessions, the women are offered interest free loans of upto Rs. 2,500=00.We incurred only Rs. 9,500=00 expense for each case. Most of this women have become self-sufficient and have bought their own land. They live in villages with respect and status. Some have re-married and some have returned to their homes with their husbands.Uptil now 300 women have been resetteled through this center.
